Big
box gyms are even jumping on this bandwagon, moving away from all of the muscle
isolation exercises, and towards the compound movement patterns.
History is
proving that the isolation model is creating a generation of dysfunctional
fitness. People may appear fit and
healthy on the outside, but inside they are virtually a ticking time bomb
brewing a future of pain and injury.
This concept doesn’t only apply to those who are actively
exercising in an attempt to regain or maintain their health; rather, these principles
that stress the importance of proper movement patterns are the missing piece of
the equation in your average patient that you see in your practice.
